The city is situated southeast of Tyler, northeast of Troup, northwest of Henderson, and southwest of Kilgore. To the west lies Lake Tyler.

Lake Tyler

Lake Tyler and Lake Tyler East, situated adjacent to each other and connected via a canal, are located just west of Arp, Texas.

These are the largest lakes in the Tyler area in addition to Lake Palestine.
