Berryville is located in Henderson County in Upper East Texas between Texas State Highway 155 and the western shore of Lake Palestine on both sides of Cobb Inlet. The city of Tyler and Coffee City are north, and Frankston lies to the south. Aero Estates Airport is located in Berryville.
The City of Berryville was incorporated December 16, 1972. The first City Council meeting was held on January 18, 1973.
Lake Palestine is a 25,000 acre reservoir, the result of the Blackburn Dam on the Neches River. The Lake is owned and operated by the Upper Neches River Municipal Water Authority.

At the north end of Lake Palestine is the town of Chandler; further south on the lake, near the Blackburn Dam, is the city of Berryville. The town of Frankston is located about 5 miles to the west of the dam.
The lake is the location of popular camps such as Pine Cove Christian Camps, and major attractions such as the Holiday Inn Club Vacations Villages Resort.
It has a surface area of 25,560 acres and a maximum depth of 58 feet. The dam was completed in 1962. It is the largest lake in the Tyler area in addition to Lake Tyler.
Lake Palestine offers recreation and outdoor activities for everyone, with boating, water skiing, houseboating, camping, RVing, canoeing, hiking, biking, and fishing all being popular activities.
It also offers waterfront and lakeside living for many Texans and visitors, and lodging including RV parks, campgrounds, resorts, cabins, motels, and B&Bs.

Located 25 miles southwest of Tyler, and 3 miles northeast of Frankson, is Aero Estates Airpark, an active air facility.
Its FAA Identifier is T25. Runway 9/27 has a Bermuda grass surface and is 3,100' x 60'. It is situated close to Blackburn Bay, part of Lake Palestine, between County Road 4117 and Hillside Circle. See map below for exact location.
